The gale force winds last night have caused havoc in the village. All of the phone lines are down and several houses have suffered severe wind damage to the roofs. It has been a long time since I witnessed a storm so strong. I had planned to have phone sex over the weekend but it is highly unlikely that the telephone lines, which have been disrupted, will be back on for at least seven days judging by what the papers have said. I guess I’ll have to make do with watching a DVD instead. There are plenty that I haven’t seen to choose from. The main thing is that almost everyone in the village will have electricity and hot water. The gales could get worse but in the mean time everyone is pulling together to help each other however they can and we are all just hoping for the best.
